Anita recently helped us out, as a member of the family who is also a shareholder wished to sell their shares. There was friction within the family so we called Anita in to hold a Discovery Workshop with key personnel and members of the family working in the business.

Anita's mediation skills helped bring the issue to an amicable resolution so that all family members are now happy. We are also using her to help us restructure the company due to key members of the business retiring in the next couple of years, so we need to look at succession planning.

I would highly recommend Anita should you have an issue in your family business, as her vast knowledge in this field and large contact list means she can resolve any problems you may have.

Anita is highly respected in the business-owning family community and her conferences and awards are leaders in the field. They have added to the ability for families to share best practice, learn from each other and make useful connections. The annual conference is by far and away the best such conference in the UK.

Anita has a font of knowledge around family business, marketing, campaigns and networking. If you are a family business looking to expand, network with other family businesses, or need advice on succession or how to engage other family members, then Anita is the person you need to be speaking to.

Having worked with and advised my family, I knew without doubt that if I wanted someone to listen, someone to understand, appreciate and advise accordingly, it had to be Anita. She is undoubtedly one of the kindest, sincerest and professional ladies I have ever met and has certainly made a difference in my life, a fantastic difference.

At 65 years old we had no idea what to do with the business that we had spent years building. Our two children had left the business and were living in another country. By chance one of us had heard Anita speak at a function and we decided to contact her. When we met with her she was not fazed by what we said and thought she could help but was honest about telling us all that the journey would not be easy.

Anita hit the ground running and was very soon exploring the family relationships and asking sometimes difficult questions of all of us. Looking back, if anyone had told us that we could get to where we are now we would not have believed them. Anita’s negotiating skills and understanding of family relationships are excellent.

The end result of a difficult journey over seven or so years is that our son and his family are back in the UK and he is settled as Managing Director of the business. Anita has continued to mentor
and encourage training and broadening of his experience. She has become a friend who we feel we will have for years to come.

Part of the process negotiated at the beginning was to produce a Family Charter which, to be honest, at first we didn’t really see as important, but putting this together helped bring us all together and we now have a lovely record and view of the business history and idea of the future. We would recommend Anita to any family business.
